The Foxtronics Fox Air 60 Air Conditioner is a 60 Hz aircraft PCA unit that delivers 24,000 BTUs (approximately 2 tons) of refrigerated air to control the aircraft cabin climate during pre-flight operations or routine maintenance procedures. It is a convenient and portable solution for pre-conditioning ambient air in an aircraft cabin, cockpit, equipment bay, fuselage, or other confined environment. The base unit provides a fan only mode and a cooling mode. A heating mode is offered as an option on all models. In addition to cooling, heating, and air movement, when operating in the cooling mode, the unit will reduce ambient humidity by removing moisture from the air. The moisture is dissipated as water through the unit’s drain system.
The Fox Air 60 2-Ton ACU minimizes wear and tear on aircraft freon systems and reduces fuel consumption and APU run time. The Fox Air 60 is a quiet PCA unit that is easy to use, and its compact, mobile design makes it easy to maneuver under aircraft wings and around the hangar.
The included remote control can be used to power the unit on and off, adjust temperature, select fan speed, set an on/off timer, and select the unit’s operation mode (toggles between cooling mode, “money saver” economy cooling mode, fan only, and dehumidifying mode).
